With the huge growth in coffee and tea consumption in China in recent years, HOTELEX Shanghai has a very strong Coffee and Tea section comprising over 300 exhibitors, making it an ideal sourcing platform for five star hotels, high end restaurants and clubs, thematic restaurants, resorts, cafés, tea houses and bookstores.
The Coffee segment covers coffee beans, coffee roasters, coffee grinders, coffee brewing machines, coffee makers, coffee decanters, milk jugs and other coffee ware. In particular, coffee additives and roasting equipment are two areas which have seen major expansions in the fair. Combined with some of the world’s most famous coffee-related competitions, HOTELEX Shanghai promises to deliver a superior event for the coffee industry.
The Tea segment is divided into specialty teas and traditional (Chinese) teas. A number of international brands and local Chinese brands can be found on the fairground. Apart from tea leaves, teapots and tea sets, there is a growing trend for international visitors to be sourcing for traditional tea crafts designed and made in China.
HOTELEX Shanghai aims to present more business opportunities by introducing new elements. A mock-up coffee shop featuring furniture, equipment, utensils and tableware is being brewed, and is expected to bring new opportunities to not only coffee business leaders but also interior designers.
